Specialty and Butterfly Hooks™
Newmont's patented Butterfly Hooks™ are the foundation of the QWIK Slate® and Slate Shield® installation systems. Available in multiple sizes and configurations to accommodate different slate widths and thicknesses, all hooks are manufactured from 12-gauge 304 stainless steel, anodized black for maximum corrosion resistance. The Butterfly hook design provides superior wind resistance — a critical performance factor for slate roofs in high-wind zones.

Copper Clad Drip Edge™
The Copper Clad Drip Edge™ is Newmont's patented solution for the most vulnerable edge of a slate roof. Copper-clad construction provides maximum corrosion resistance and the architectural elegance that slate roofing demands. The Copper Clad Drip Edge™ is compatible with all Newmont slate products and is the preferred choice for historic preservation projects and high-end residential installations.

Copper Roofing Nails
Newmont offers the highest quality copper roofing nails in all sizes — the traditional fastener for slate roofing. Copper nails resist corrosion for the full life of the slate roof, unlike galvanized or stainless steel nails which can corrode and cause slates to slip. Available in ring-shank and smooth-shank configurations for different installation requirements.
